Greenuts 4: A New Beginning (also known as Greenuts 4) is a 2016 American computer-animated comedy film and the fourth installment in the Greenuts franchise. The film is produced by Geo Animation Studios and Bad Robot Productions, and released by Paramount Pictures, and is set for release on November 26, 2015.


Nine years after the third film, the Greenuts saw an abandoned theme park and decided to rebuild it as a fully functioning shape theme park, Shape World. This park is now owned by the Greenuts with Tommy, Sally and Edwin, until then a supervillain named Kevin the Evil Madness Man tries to destroy the park, but the Greenuts must find a way to stop him.

After the release of Greenuts 3: the 10th Geo Animation Studios film in 2007, Jake Sharratt stated "we hope we should make Greenuts 4."

Paramount Pictures confirmed the film on April 16, 2010. On June 5, 2011, it was announced that Jake Sharratt, who directed the first two Greenuts films, would return to direct the film. On September 6, 2012, Paramount announced a new title for the film, Greenuts 4: A New Beginning, is scheduled to be released in 2016. In September 2012, Paramount announced the release date for July 22, 2016.

Sharratt confirmed on his Facebook in October 2013 that officially added the plot for the film. In May 2014, it was announced that Bad Robot Productions would be co-producing the film. On May 22, 2014, the film's release date was moved up to November 26, 2015, switching places with Geo Animation Studios' other film Chester Raccoon and The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

On November 13, 2015, Geo Animation Studios decided that the 1975's new song "Love Me" will be heard in the ending credits, the film was now using the song in its ending credits.


The short will be released theatrically with a flash/computer-animated short film That's My Horse!. The original "Jenny & Penny" version will be shown theatrically with the film itself. On November 13, 2015, Geo Animation Studios decided to replace Jenny and Penny with the Urban Crusaders in an updated version that will be shown theatrically with Chester Raccoon.
